A cost effective and simple alternative to
extending your business or enterprise network. The AEI-w540 is an IEEE 802.11b/g standards based
Near Line-of-Site (nLOS) Point-to-Point (PtP) wireless bridge for your Wide Area
Network (WAN) or Metropolitan Area Network (MAN). The AEI-w540 can also be
configured with directional gain sector antennas to support Point-to-Multipoint
applications (22dBi max.antenna gain).
The primary application for the AEI-w540 is
network connectivity in a building-to-building campus environments, remote
access, and backhaul applications. The AEI-w540 implements low latency and
low jitter technology in an industrial-grade communications appliance. It
provides reliable delivery of Voice over IP (VoIP), high definition video, data,
and shared Internet traffic over a single wireless data link at approximately 30
times faster than ADSL and expensive T1 alternatives.
Operating in the license exempt 2.4 GHz
frequency, the AEI-w540 is a secure and reliable communications grade solution
that provides unparalleled range, capacity, and security in the most challenging
environments.
With IEEE 802.11i-PSK or WPA (PSK, TKIP) encryption the AEI-w540 offers
heightened security. Additionally, it supports 256-bit Advanced Encryption
Standards (Rjindael) for true end-to-end secure data transfers.
Flexible kit options enable the AEI-w540 to be deployed by the most cost
effective means, either indoors or outdoors (depending on link calculations).
The kit options also provide all the hardware you need to establish a link, thus
making installation a snap.
AEI has strategic relationships with a variety of value added resellers capable
of performing site surveys, installation, maintenance and support (maintenance
and support packages are available and vary depending on location).
